Good lesson.

I had a good Polish lesson today..........yippeeeeeeeeeeee. Finally! Slowly it's coming together but still a long way to go.

As it has happened in three of the last four years, we were sitting watching a movie at home when suddenly one of the lines on the Christmas tree went dark. This is always a problem because each line has 100 lights on it and when one is bad the whole line goes out. So......you have to take the line off the tree, take one good light that you have and try it in each of the 100 places to see if that will fix the problem. I have lost patience with that method because even that does not always work. Joan, thank God, has more patience than me so this morning she took the line off and while I was having my lesson she started the replacement process. Fortunately, after only the first 6 lights she found what she thought was the bad one because the whole line (almost) was working. Curiously, while she was looking at the lights she found 15 others that weren't working and yet the rest of the lights were. She replaced the other bad lights and now all is fine and she is putting the lights back on the tree. What is curious is why those 15 lights didn't work but all the rest did.

OK, 15 minutes later the line Joan fixed stopped working again. It comes on for a little while then goes off again. I've had enough of this. I went to Castorama and bought one more new line(18zl) but I also bought one LED line for the future(67zl). These lights stay on when one light goes out. I will buy one new LED line each year until we have enough lights. We had those same troublesome lights 40 years ago in the U.S. but they were all replaced so they don't have this light problem there.

I also stopped at Bistry and bought kabanosa, ham and salami for lunches, cost 15zl. It's enough lunchmeat for the week.

Miałem dobrą polską lekcję dziś .......... yippeeeeeeeeeeee. Nareszcie!
