Universities.

I had a nice conversation with two young men, one in his last of high school and the other in his first year at university. The high school student was trying to decide which way to go with his future, what area to study and where. The university student was unhappy with his choices at the university level and unhappy with the school. Both are thinking to go to the U.S. and study there, improve their English and make better choices for their future. I've talked with several young people in the past and almost all are not happy with the universities level of education and think they would do better going abroad.  Out of curiosity I checked the internet for the top 100 universities in the world and there wasn't one Polish university listed. I thought there would be at least 1. Then I checked the top 500 and found Jagiellonion  Universaity was listed at 327 and that is considered the best in Poland. Holy cow, Batman!! What's wrong with this picture?

Nothing new on the weather front, winter has definitely set in with -6c today, gray and no sun.

Ucze艅 szko艂y 艣redniej stara si臋 podj膮膰 decyzj臋, w kt贸r膮 stron臋 i艣膰 w przysz艂o艣ci, co studiowa膰 i gdzie. Obaj my艣l膮, aby wyjecha膰 do USA i tam studiowa膰, podszkoli膰 sw贸j angielski i dokona膰  wyboru lepszego dla ich przysz艂o艣ci. My艣la艂em, 偶e b臋dzie co najmniej 1. 艢wi臋ta krowa, Batman !!
