It's baaaaaaaaack!!

The week is not starting off great. The "Curse of the Balcony" is back. The building administrator and a repair man visited us about 11:15 and informed us that our balcony is again leaking water to the flat below. Not onto the flat this time but to the balcony below. Upon examination he found that the inside of the balcony wall, covered in some kind of hard material and painted, was separating itself from the wall and when it rains, the water seeps down to the bottom of our balcony and then down to the balcony below. There are tiles above those two wall parts but they don't cover the wall pulling away, thus allowing the water to drop down. The administrator arranged for the man to come back next week to repair the problem and the cost will be paid by the administration from what I understand. Certainly we are not going to pay for it because we don't own this flat. It's still aggravating that in the five years we've lived here, the balcony has caused problems of our downstairs neighbor four times.  They are nice people and they shouldn't have to deal with this problem. IF it has been repaired properly the first time it would have been finished. However, what can you expect when most of the best professionals had to leave Poland to earn enough money to live. It's estimated that by 2060, Poland will have lost 20,000,000 people because of below normal birth rates and people moving to other countries for work. Where is the government or President to stop this trend? I don't think it or he are in the next election this Sunday.

Tydzień nie zaczyna się świetnie. Wróciła "Klątwa balkonu”. Administrator budynku i serwisant odwiedzili nas o 11:15 i poinformowali, że z naszego balkonu jest kolejny wyciek wody do mieszkania pod nami. Tym razem nie do mieszkania, ale na balkon poniżej. Po sprawdzeniu okazało się, że wewnętrzna ściana balkonu jest pokryta jakimś twardym materiałem i pomalowana, ale  ta warstwa odstaje od ściany i gdy pada deszcz, woda przedostaje się na spód naszego balkonu, a następnie na balkon poniżej. Powyżej tych dwóch części są  płytki, ale nie obejmują one odsuniętej ściany, pozwalając w ten sposób spadać wodzie w dół. Administrator umówił pracownika, który wróci w przyszłym tygodniu, aby to naprawić , a koszt zostanie opłacony przez administrację z tego, co rozumiem. Z pewnością nie będziemy za to zapłacić, ponieważ nie jesteśmy właścicielami  mieszkania. To wciąż jest irytujące, że w ciągu pięciu lat, odkąd tu mieszkamy, balkon czterokrotnie spowodował problem naszym sąsiadom na dole. To mili ludzie i nie powinny mieć z tym do czynienia. Jeśli zostałby prawidłowo naprawiony za pierwszym razem, problem byłby zakończony. Chociaż, czego można się spodziewać, gdy większość najlepszych specjalistów musiała opuścić Polskę, aby zarobić wystarczająco dużo pieniędzy na życie. Szacuje się, że do 2060 roku, Polska straci 20.000.000 ludzi z powodu niższego niż normalny wskaźnik urodzeń i osób przemieszczających się do innych krajów do pracy. Gdzie jest rząd lub prezydent, aby zatrzymać ten trend?
