Blood test.

I thought that, like for the doctor, I had to call the laboratory first to make an appointment. Their website said they opened at 6AM so I set my alarm for 6. I called and listened to a message that said they open at 7.  No sense in going back to sleep for an hour so I waited. At 7:00, I called again and was put on a musical hold, breaking in every few minutes to tell me I was number 2. #2 continued for 20 minutes until I hung up and went back to bed. At 9:00, I called again, they answered and said it wasn't necessary to make an appointment, just come to the laboratory.

10:00 I took the wheelchair to the car and then helped Joan down the stairs. A 10- minute drive and we were at the laboratory. Registration was easy and Joan waited only 10 ten minutes until she was called to have her blood taken. Her veins in her arm are not so visible so the woman tried using the veins in her hand. She tried twice but to no avail. She did manage to find a vein in Joan's arm but it took a while to fill the 3 vials with blood that were needed. Altogether it took about 15 minutes. Joan left with 3 cotton bandages on her arm/hands. The results will be available tomorrow online, then I will email them to the doctor.

13:00(1PM) Bartosz arrived and worked with Joan walking on the stairs and balance. He walked her down the stairs and then to the parking lot behind the house where he walked around with her before going back upstairs.

15:00 The speech therapist, Agnieska, arrived to work with Joan. Joan was somewhat negative about the visit but when it ended she was happy. I think it was just having to work with a new kind of therapy plus the fact of walking up and down the stairs twice today. I know she was tired.

19:30(7:30PM) The orthopedic doctor was here and said Joan had stretched bicep muscles in her right arm causing the pain. He said it would take about 2 months to recover after he wrote a prescription of ointment and pain killers.

Pomyślałem, że tak jak do lekarza, muszę najpierw zadzwonić do laboratorium, żeby się umówić. Na ich stronie internetowej pisze, że otwierają o 6 rano, więc nastawiłem budzenie na 6. Zadzwoniłem i usłyszałem wiadomość, że otwierają o 7. Nie ma sensu wracać do łóżka na godzinę, więc czekałem. O 7:00, zadzwoniłem ponownie i zostałem umieszczony w kolejce oczekujących na połączenie, z muzyką w tle , która co kilka minut była przerywana, aby powiedzieć mi, że jestem numerem 2. Trwało to przez 20 minut, aż się rozłączyłem i wróciłem do łóżka. O 9:00 zadzwoniłem ponownie, odebrali połączenie i powiedzieli, że nie trzeba się umawiać, tylko przyjść do laboratorium.

O 10:00 zabrałem wózek inwalidzki do samochodu, a potem pomogłem Joan zejść ze schodów. 10 minut jazdy i byliśmy w laboratorium. Rejestracja była łatwa, a Joan czekała tylko 10 minut, aż wezwano ją do pobrania krwi. Jej żyły w ramieniu nie są tak widoczne, więc kobieta próbowała użyć żył w jej ręce. Próbowała dwa razy, ale bezskutecznie. Udało jej się znaleźć żyłę w ramieniu Joanny, ale wypełnienie 3 fiolek krwią, które były potrzebne, zajęło trochę czasu. W sumie zajęło to około 15 minut. Joanna odeszła z 3 bawełnianymi bandażami na ramionach/rękach. Wyniki będą dostępne jutro online, a następnie wyślemy je pocztą elektroniczną do lekarza.

O 13:00 przyjechał Bartosz i pracował z Joan nad chodzeniem po schodach i balansowaniem. Zszedł po schodach, a następnie na parking za domem, gdzie chodził z nią, zanim wrócił na górę.

O 15:00 o pracy z Joan przyjechała logopedka, Agnieszka. Joan była nieco negatywnie nastawiona do tej wizyty, ale kiedy się skończyła, była zadowolona. Myślę, że to była po prostu praca z nowym rodzajem terapii plus fakt, że dzisiaj dwa razy wchodziliśmy i schodziliśmy po schodach. Wiem, że była zmęczona.

19:30  Był tu lekarz ortopeda i powiedział, że Joan naciągnęła mięśnie bicepsa w prawym ramieniu, powodując ból. Powiedział, że powrót do zdrowia zajmie około 2 miesięcy po napisaniu recepty na maści i środki przeciwbólowe.

Pensé que, como para el médico, primero tenía que llamar al laboratorio para hacer una cita. Su sitio web decía que abrían a las 6 de la mañana, así que puse mi alarma a las 6. El registro fue fácil y Joan esperó solo 10 diez minutos hasta que la llamaron para que le tomaran sangre. Sus venas en su brazo no son tan visibles, por lo que la mujer intentó usar las venas en su mano. Lo intentó dos veces pero fue en vano. Se las arregló para encontrar una vena en el brazo de Joan, pero tardó un tiempo en llenar los 3 viales con sangre que se necesitaban. En total, tomó unos 15 minutos. Joan se fue con 3 vendas de algodón en su brazo / manos. Los resultados estarán disponibles mañana en línea, luego los enviaré por correo electrónico al médico.

13:00 (1PM) Bartosz llegó y trabajó con Joan caminando por las escaleras y el equilibrio. La acompañó por las escaleras y luego al estacionamiento detrás de la casa donde caminó con ella antes de subir las escaleras.

15:00 La logopeda, Agnieska, llegó a trabajar con Joan. Joan fue algo negativa acerca de la visita, pero cuando terminó ella estaba feliz. Creo que fue solo tener que trabajar con un nuevo tipo de terapia más el hecho de subir y bajar las escaleras dos veces hoy. Sé que estaba cansada.

19:30 (7:30 PM) El médico ortopédico estuvo aquí y dijo que Joan había estirado los músculos bíceps en su brazo derecho causando el dolor. Dijo que tomaría alrededor de 2 meses recuperarse después de escribir una receta de ungüento y analgésicos.
