In the local news...A rampart with a thickness of 40 meters(43 yards) at the base and a height of up to 12 meters(13 yards) was discovered during archaeological work at Zagórze Street in Ostrów Tumski in Poznań.

It also turned out that the southern part of the castle complex is larger than previously thought. This is the first such huge fragment of the 1000-year-old rampart found in Poland. Everything comes to an end and so it is with the therapist, Kasia. She was a tremendous help for Joan throughout the time they had together. She was the one who showed me what exercises to do with Joan before the ban was lifted and I am super thankful for that. Now, Bartosz will do the 5 days a week therapy sessions until the end of July.

After her session with Bartosz, I put the wheelchair in the car, helped Joan down the stairs, and we went to Poznań Plaza to buy new shorts for Joan. She has several pairs from before but now, with a diaper, they cannot fit.  We found 2 she liked in the H&M store and bought them.

We haven't been to the Plaza since last year and it has changed due to Covid-19. There are no more couches to sit on. most stores have markers for social distancing and masks are required to enter some of them. The restaurants(fast food) no longer have booths right next to each other, only tables 6 ft. apart for 2 or 4 people. There were not many people but then it was a Friday afternoon and people were still at work.

Wszystko kiedyś się kończy, także z terapeutką Kasią. Ona była ogromną pomocą dla Joan przez cały czas, kiedy były razem. To ona pokazała mi, co robić z Joan przed zniesieniem zakazu spotykania się i jestem za to super wdzięczny. Teraz, Bartosz będzie wykonywał sesje terapeutyczne przez 5 dni w tygodniu do końca lipca.

Po sesji z Bartoszem, włożyłem wózek inwalidzki do samochodu, pomogłem Joan zejść po schodach i pojechaliśmy do poznańskiej Plaza tylko po nowe szorty dla Joan. Ma kilka par z przeszłości, ale teraz, z pieluchą, nie pasują. W sklepie H&M znaleźliśmy 2, które jej się podobały i kupiliśmy je.

Nie byliśmy w Plaza od zeszłego roku i wiele zmieniło się z powodu Covida-19. Nie ma już kanap, na których można by usiąść. Większość sklepów ma oznakowanie do zachowania dystansu i wymagane są maski, aby wejść do niektórych z nich. W restauracjach (fast foodach) nie ma już stoisk tuż obok siebie, tylko stoły oddalone o 6 stóp od siebie na 2 lub 4 osoby. Nie było wiele osób, ale wtedy było piątkowe popołudnie i ludzie byli jeszcze w pracy.

También resultó que la parte sur del complejo del castillo es más grande de lo que se pensaba. Este es el primer fragmento tan enorme de la muralla de 1000 años que se encuentra en Polonia. Todo llega a su fin y así es con la terapeuta, Kasia. Ella fue de gran ayuda para Joan durante todo el tiempo que pasaron juntos. Ella fue quien me mostró qué ejercicios hacer con Joan antes de que se levantara la prohibición y estoy muy agradecida por eso. Ahora, Bartosz hará las sesiones de terapia de 5 días a la semana hasta finales de julio.

Después de su sesión con Bartosz, puse la silla de ruedas en el auto, ayudé a Joan a bajar las escaleras y fuimos a Poznań Plaza a comprarle unos pantalones cortos nuevos. Ella tiene varios pares de antes, pero ahora, con un pañal, no pueden caber. Encontramos 2 que le gustaban en la tienda H&M y los compramos.

No hemos estado en la Plaza desde el año pasado y ha cambiado debido a Covid-19. No hay más sofás para sentarse. La mayoría de las tiendas tienen marcadores de distanciamiento social y se requieren máscaras para ingresar a algunas de ellas. Los restaurantes (comida rápida) ya no tienen puestos uno al lado del otro, solo mesas separadas por 6 pies para 2 o 4 personas. No había mucha gente, pero era viernes por la tarde y la gente todavía estaba en el trabajo.
