Yes, I'm happy to tell you Joan very much likes the new book, "The Shadow of the Wind". Today she sat on the balcony for 1/2 hour reading while I went to the local store and Apteka. She was still reading when I got back. She has many books but few of them are completed. She reads most for a while but then either loses interest or just forgets about them. A few she has read more than once. For her to pick up a book on her own and continue reading is a happy occasion for me. I know she is still inside her but sometimes I have to try to find her. I just have to keep looking.

A highlight of the week is a visit from Radek to talk about things Polish and continue our talks in Spanish. I'm still working on the subjunctive tense but it has become easier to know when it is used. I long for time in Spain in order to practice speaking what I have learned since last year.

The weather continues to be more spring-like every day. The sun is out again and the sky is mostly blue. The temperature is 10C(45F) It would be a good day for a walk outside. However, I am content that, at least, Joan was able to sit on the balcony while reading. The last three days her PT has been good. Now, I must wonder if stopping it would be the right thing to do. It's a dilemma. 

Tak, cieszę się, że mogę powiedzieć, że Joan bardzo lubi nową książkę „The Shadow of the Wind”. Dziś siedziała na balkonie i przez pół godziny czytała, a ja poszedłem do lokalnego sklepu i Apteki. Kiedy wróciłem, nadal czytała. Ma wiele książek, ale niewiele z nich jest ukończonych. Przez chwilę czyta większość, ale potem albo traci zainteresowanie, albo po prostu o nich zapomina. Kilka przeczytała więcej niż raz. Dla niej samodzielne wzięcie książki do ręki i kontynuowanie jej czytania jest dla mnie radosną okazją. Wiem, że wciąż jest w niej, ale czasami muszę spróbować ją znaleźć. Muszę tylko dalej szukać.

Punktem kulminacyjnym tygodnia jest wizyta Radka, aby porozmawiać o sprawach polskich i kontynuować rozmowy w języku hiszpańskim. Nadal pracuję nad czasem łączącym, ale łatwiej było wiedzieć, kiedy jest używany. Tęsknię za czasem w Hiszpanii, aby ćwiczyć mówienie tego, czego nauczyłem się od zeszłego roku.
