Trepidation.

With trepidation in the back of my mind since our last Wednesday visit to the bank, I checked the online account today and it was confirmed not all was accomplished. Yes, the account was downgraded but NO, my credit card is still not linked to my account. Rather than going back to the Poznan main branch, I sent an email to Warsaw explaining the situation. Now, it is just a waiting game until they answer.

This balance problem that Joan has presents a problem for her comfort. If she sits in her recliner chair for more than one hour, when she stands up she will fall backward unless I hold her hands. Sitting in the wheelchair and then standing, there is much less chance of her falling backward. However, it is not as comfortable for her as the recliner. To keep moving her every other hour is something she does not like but it would be better for her. Trying to get her to do that is a battle after a short time. I don't like battles.

Joan had her weekly Skype conversation with Karen, her daughter, and Karen said they have 27inches of snow on the ground. She likes the snow because behind her house is a big downhill slope and they use it for sledding. However, she does not like the accompanying cold weather. Her work is going well and she may have the opportunity to come to Berlin next year on business. If she does, she will take extra time off and come to us for a visit. Grandson Joseph is back at the university in the southern part of the state. Granddaughter Nicole continues at college locally, working part-time in a music store and continuing to perfect her different art forms of drawing and music.

Joan is still waiting for a vaccination appointment.

Od naszej ostatniej wizyty ww banku w środę, z trwogą w tle, sprawdziłem dzisiaj konto online, gdzie jest potwierdzenie, że nie wszystko zostało wykonane. Tak, staus konta został obniżony, moja karta kredytowa nadal nie jest połączona z moim kontem. Zamiast wracać do głównego oddziału w Poznaniu, wysłałem maila do Warszawy z wyjaśnieniem sytuacji. Teraz pozostaje mi tylko czekać, aż odpowiedzą.

Klopot z równowagą, który ma Joanna, stanowi problem dla jej komfortu. Jeśli siedzi w swoim fotelu przez ponad godzinę, to kiedy wstaje, przewraca się do tyłu, chyba że trzymam ją za ręce. Siedząc na wózku inwalidzkim, a następnie wstając, jest znacznie mniejsza szansa, że przewróci się do tyłu. Jednak wózek nie jest dla niej tak wygodny jak fotel. Nie podoba jej się to, że trzeba ją co godzinę przenosić, ale tak będzie dla niej lepiej. Próby nakłonienia jej do tego to krótka czasowa bitwa. Nie lubię bitew.

Joan odbyłą swoją cotygodniową rozmowę na Skype ze swoją córką Karen, która powiedziała, że mają 27 cali śniegu na ziemi. Lubi śnieg, bo za jej domem jest duży stok i używają go do zjeżdżania na sankach. Nie lubi jednak towarzyszącemu mu zimna. W pracy wszystko w porządku i być może w przyszłym roku będzie miała okazję przyjechać do Berlina w interesach. Jeśli tak się stanie, weźmie dodatkowy urlop i przyjedzie do nas w odwiedziny. Wnuk Joseph wrócił na uniwersytet w południowej części stanu. Wnuczka Nicole kontynuuje naukę w miejscowym college'u, pracuje na pół etatu w sklepie muzycznym i nadal doskonali swoje różne formy sztuki: rysunek i muzykę.

Joan wciąż czeka na termin szczepienia.

Con inquietud en el fondo de mi mente desde nuestra última visita al banco el miércoles, revisé la cuenta en línea hoy y se confirmó que no todo estaba logrado. Sí, la cuenta fue degradada pero NO, mi tarjeta de crédito aún no está vinculada a mi cuenta. En lugar de volver a la sucursal principal de Poznan, envié un correo electrónico a Varsovia explicando la situación. Ahora, es solo un juego de esperar hasta que respondan.

Este problema de equilibrio que tiene Joan presenta un problema para su comodidad. Si se sienta en su sillón reclinable durante más de una hora, cuando se ponga de pie, se caerá hacia atrás a menos que le tome de las manos. Sentada en la silla de ruedas y luego de pie, hay muchas menos posibilidades de que se caiga hacia atrás. Sin embargo, no es tan cómodo para ella como el sillón reclinable. Seguir moviéndola cada dos horas es algo que no le gusta pero sería mejor para ella. Intentar que ella haga eso es una batalla después de poco tiempo. No me gustan las batallas.

Joan tenía su conversación semanal por Skype con Karen, su hija, y Karen dijo que tenían 27 pulgadas de nieve en el suelo. Le gusta la nieve porque detrás de su casa hay una gran pendiente cuesta abajo y la usan para andar en trineo. Sin embargo, no le gusta el clima frío que la acompaña. Su trabajo va bien y es posible que tenga la oportunidad de venir a Berlín el próximo año por negocios. Si lo hace, se tomará un tiempo extra y vendrá a visitarnos. El nieto Joseph está de regreso en la universidad en la parte sur del estado. La nieta Nicole continúa en la universidad localmente, trabaja a tiempo parcial en una tienda de música y continúa perfeccionando sus diferentes formas artísticas de dibujo y música.

Joan todavía está esperando una cita de vacunación.
