So it seems there is still more suspense to the presidential election in the U.S. Now a petition is being circulated to the Electoral College who actually, for real, cast their votes for President on December 19th and the petition is to have Clinton named President. This would be a disaster, in my opinion, because it would surely divide the country even more. Trump won the election but the actual electoral votes he needed to win do not become official until December 19th when the EC casts their votes. They can, before then, change their mind about who they want as President. If they do choose Clinton, the protests we have seen in America will not be anything compared to what would happen after their decision. Yes, we voted for Clinton but we accept the fact that Trump won and think he should be given the chance to prove himself worthy. Clinton won the popular vote but the Constitution clearly states the president is chosen by the EC and the numbers were clearly in favor of Trump. To change that now would be catastrophic.
