Żabka.

This is what the sign looks like for a typical 7/11 type store in Poland. The word means..frog.  There are many such little stores in Poznań, convenience stores.  You can find them almost anywhere in the center of town. Joan's daughter thought they were "cute" and wanted me to take a picture of one so here it is, Karen. Then there are the medium size chain stores like Piotr i Paweł, Biedronka, Dino's, Lidł and Chata Polska. Finally the supermarkets, Carrefour, Auchan, Tesco, Aldi, Kaufland and Real.

Today was a stay at home day with three Polish conversations and one with cousin Andrzej. Joan and I studied Spanish, then I went over my Polish lesson for Friday. Tomorrow is Kandulski day and then Joan has her CT scan at 18:00. She is a little nervous about it so I went over what will be done, how it will be done, just in case no one speaks English.

To jest coś, co  wygląda jak znak dla typowej sieciówki w Polsce. Słowo znaczy „Żabka”. Istnieje wiele takich małych sklepów w Poznaniu, małych sieciówek.  Można je znaleźć niemal wszędzie w centrum miasta. Córka Joan uważała, że były "słodkie" i chciała, abym w jednym z nich zrobić jej zdjęcie,  więc oto jest, Karen. Istnieją też średniego rozmiaru sklepy sieciowe, takie jak Piotr i Paweł, Biedronka, Dino, Lidl oraz Chata Polska. Wreszcie supermarkety: Carrefour, Auchan, Tesco, Aldi, Kaufland i Real.

Dzisiejszy dzień spędziliśmy w domu, podczas którego miałem trzy rozmowy po polsku na Skypie oraz jedną z kuzynem Andrzejem. Joan i ja uczyliśmy się hiszpańskiego, a potem powtórzyłem polski na lekcję w piątek.  Jutro jest  „dzień u Kandulskiego”, a potem o godzinie 18:00 Joan ma tomografię. Ona jest trochę zdenerwowana, więc na wszelki wypadek, gdyby nikt nie mówił po angielsku przypomniałem, co zostanie zrobione i jak to będzie wykonane.
