 Yesterday 30,000 people in Poznań took part in the protest against the new law. 

Last Thursday, as the politicized Constitutional Tribunal ruled abortion in Poland to be practically illegal, the ruling Law and Justice party joined a coalition of largely illiberal and authoritarian governments to sign a US-sponsored anti-abortion declaration.

The declaration is an aftermath of Donald Trump's decision to withdraw American funding for international organizations promoting abortion rights, announced shortly after he stepped into office. Doubling down on his administration’s anti-abortion agenda, during the 2019 UN General Assembly, the US president said that "America will never tire of defending innocent life”

In the United States, the decision of the Trump administration to sign the document has met with wide criticism. Critics point out that the president is yet again joining the ranks of authoritarian governments.

Feminist organizations, on the other hand, responded with criticism. “If you thought you were already pissed off, we can’t possibly imagine how you’ll react after hearing this. The Polish government quietly signed us up to join an international anti-abortion coalition, and has kept it secret from the mainstream media! Poland has become one of only three European countries (along with Hungary and Belarus) that have signed the Geneva Consensus Declaration on „Promoting Women’s Health and Strengthening the Family”- the “Dziewuchy Dziewuchom” organization. Enough about the protest.

I've been in computer hell for the last couple of days. I have 2 laptops, an ASUS and a Samsung. The latter is the newest, 3 years old. Now the Samsung isn't producing any sound through the speakers. I've tried everything I know how to fix it but no remedy. I use it for my Polish lessons and Skype. 2 months ago I had the hard drive changed from HDD to SSD, It works much faster now but without sound, I had to start using the ASUS laptop.

Wednesday morning, I turned it on, the MSN logo appeared, and then it went black.  Behind it I have a 23" external monitor plugged in. I like the bigger screen but I don't always have it plugged in. I took out the battery, unplugged and waited a few minutes before I restarted it. Again, nothing. Out of curiosity, I turned it off, plugged in the outside monitor, and again turned it on. On the laptop screen, black. However, the outside monitor turned on and worked, sound included but no camera or microphone. That wouldn't allow me to Skype or Zoom. I opened Skype and the little green signal for the camera came on the black laptop screen. It was working through the laptop, and so was the microphone and the external monitor gave me a good screen. The Samsung is back in the repair shop. I have a love/hate relationships with computers.

W miniony czwartek, kiedy upolityczniony Trybunał Konstytucyjny orzekł, że aborcja w Polsce jest praktycznie nielegalna, rządząca partia Prawo i Sprawiedliwość dołączyła do koalicji w dużej mierze nieliberalnych i autorytarnych rządów, aby podpisać sponsorowaną przez USA deklarację antyaborcyjną.

W Stanach Zjednoczonych decyzja administracji Trumpa o podpisaniu dokumentu spotkała się z szeroką krytyką. Krytycy zwracają uwagę, że prezydent po raz kolejny dołącza do autorytarnych rządów.

Z drugiej strony organizacje feministyczne odpowiedziały krytyką. „Jeśli myślisz, że już jesteś wkurzony, nie możemy sobie wyobrazić, jak zareagujesz po usłyszeniu tego. Polski rząd po cichu zapisał nas do międzynarodowej koalicji antyaborcyjnej i utrzymywał to w tajemnicy przed mediami głównego nurtu! Polska stała się jednym z zaledwie trzech krajów europejskich (obok Węgier i Białorusi), które podpisały Deklarację genewską „Wspieranie zdrowia kobiet i wzmacnianie rodziny” - organizację „Dziewuchy Dziewuchom”. Dość o proteście.

Przez ostatnie kilka dni byłem w piekle komputerowym. Mam 2 laptopy, ASUS i Samsung. Ten ostatni jest najnowszy, ma 3 lata. Teraz Samsung nie wydaje żadnego dźwięku przez głośniki. Próbowałem wszystkiego, co wiem, jak to naprawić, ale żadnego lekarstwa. Używam go do lekcji polskiego i Skype'a. 2 miesiące temu wymieniłem dysk twardy z HDD na SSD, teraz działa znacznie szybciej, ale bez dźwięku musiałem zacząć korzystać z laptopa ASUS.

W środę rano włączyłem go, pojawiło się logo MSN, a potem zrobiło się czarne. Za nim podłączony jest 23-calowy monitor zewnętrzny. Podoba mi się większy ekran, ale nie zawsze go podłączam. Wyjąłem baterię, wyłączyłem i zaczekałem kilka minut, zanim ponownie go uruchomiłem. Znowu nic. z ciekawości wyłączyłem go, podłączyłem monitor zewnętrzny i ponownie włączyłem. Na ekranie laptopa czarny. Jednak monitor zewnętrzny włączył się i działał, włączono dźwięk, ale nie było kamery ani mikrofonu. To nie pozwalało mnie do Skype lub Zoom. El jueves pasado, cuando el politizado Tribunal Constitucional dictaminó que el aborto en Polonia era prácticamente ilegal, el partido gobernante Ley y Justicia se unió a una coalición de gobiernos en gran parte iliberales y autoritarios para firmar una declaración contra el aborto patrocinada por Estados Unidos.

La declaración es una secuela de la decisión de Donald Trump de retirar los fondos estadounidenses para las organizaciones internacionales que promueven el derecho al aborto, anunciada poco después de que asumiera el cargo. Duplicando la agenda antiaborto de su administración, durante la Asamblea General de la ONU de 2019, el presidente de Estados Unidos dijo que "Estados Unidos nunca se cansará de defender la vida inocente".

En Estados Unidos, la decisión de la administración Trump de firmar el documento ha recibido amplias críticas. Los críticos señalan que el presidente se une una vez más a las filas de los gobiernos autoritarios.

He estado en el infierno de las computadoras durante los últimos días. Tengo 2 laptops, una ASUS y una Samsung. Este último es el más nuevo, de 3 años. Ahora, Samsung no produce ningún sonido a través de los altavoces. He intentado todo lo que sé para solucionarlo, pero no he encontrado solución. Lo uso para mis lecciones de polaco y Skype. Hace 2 meses cambié el disco duro de HDD a SSD, ahora funciona mucho más rápido pero sin sonido, tuve que empezar a usar la computadora portátil ASUS.
