Coming soon!!

I chatted with our grandson, Joseph, early this morning. In May he will graduate from high school and his graduation present from his parents is a trip to Poland to stay with us for the month of June. We are excited to have him with us and he is excited about coming here. This weekend he will buy the plane tickets and then tell us when he will arrive in Poznań. We plan to show him as much of Poland as we can and maybe Berlin too since it is only two hours drive from here. We put the suggestion in the heads of his parents two years ago, about coming to Poland, and now it seems it will actually happen. It's going to be an experience he will never forget, a chance to see some of Europe and a lot of Poland. We'll take him to the major cities in Poland as well as Golina to meet my cousins. I have some people of his age who agree to meet with him and show him their version of Poznań. It will be good for him to relate to young adults his own age. Both of them will be attending universities in the U.S. this autumn and one will be going to a university close to where our grandson lives. It will be great for us to spend a whole month with him although I'm sure our food bill will double but that's ok. The important thing is to have the time with him. We hope that in two years when his sister graduates, she will also come for a month to stay with us. He has already been accepted to attend the University of Illinois in Chicago and we can talk about his plans for his future.

Tomorrow is Dzień Kobieta(Woman's Day) in Poland so to celebrate it I bought Joan two orange roses and took her this afternoon to Kandulski's for coffee. I know it's a little early but it was nice weather outside and I thought why not take advantage of it because who knows what tomorrow will be like. Earlier the opthamologist said that her eye would be ok, it would just take several days to return to it's normal color. She said it was probably caused by too much work in one day; house cleaning, dishes, food preparation and laundry. We won't let that happen again. I can, at least, take over the task of washing dishes and maybe even laundry. I can't let anything happen to her.

W ten weekend będzie kupić bilety na samolot, a potem nam powiedzieć, kiedy będzie on przybyć w Poznaniu. Weźmiemy go do większych miast w Polsce, jak i Golina do spełnienia moich kuzynów.
